Some CSS work

Print Friendly

As part of getting reading to move the blogs over to WordPress, I did some clean up of the CSS that controls the formatting of the site. I restructured the file to more cleanly separate the colors, the fonts, and other formatting. In the process of doing this, I tinkered with some of the formatting and adjusted some of the font sizes. I’m going to do another step at some point to rename many of the class names so that they don’t clash with the names in the WordPress standard CSS file.

Once I do this, I can create a new WordPress theme that matches the formatting of this site. I’ll also have to do some tinkering with the PHP files to get things just right. This will take some time, so don’t expect to see anything soon. Once this is all done, I’ll converge the CSS files to have one file that works for everything.

I’ve done quite a bit of research on blog software and WordPress keeps coming up the winner. I hope I feel that way after the conversion!
