Another ‘math’ one is WIMS, the Web Interactive Math Server. You can either use the one at University of Nice, France http://wims.unice.fr/wims/en_home.html ; or download it onto a CD and run it on your own machine http://wims.unice.fr/knowims/ . This one, also, is GPL; so you can get the source code if you wish to learn from it, improve on it, or make it run on a Sony Playstation 3 as well as a Lenovo. Or a ‘zSeries’, whatever is to hand.

It presents math puzzles … geometric constructions, and the like … to your web browser, using JavaScript to good effect.

Why does the guy behind it make software freely available ? I think because he’s a math teacher, and it helps him teach math if his students can practice.
