WordPress 2.3.2

I just updated the blog software used here to WordPress version 2.3.2 which evidently fixes some security problems and some feed issues. As always, let me know if there are any problems.

Update: Well, I’m seeing a problem and that’s that I cannot see the nested category names or tags while I’m editing posts. Will need to dig around for this one.

Update #2: I did a database repair via WB-DBManager and that brought the categories and tags back. I dodged a bullet on this one, actually. Evidently when I did the last upgrade, I forgot to create the backup-db directory in wp-content, and so all my blog backups for some time have been empty. I’ve been getting these backups via email every two days and I never thought to look at the attachments. I fixed this and have a backup safely in hand. Whew!

  • Any other suggestions? I ran the repair, and I’m headed to the WordPress codex forums to see if I can find any other answers to the lack of ability to access anything but the homepage on my site.

  • Never mind – I fixed it with a redundant command on the “upgrade.php” page. Although it said my databases had already been updated, I clicked on that “next” link again anyway out of frustration. Ta-da. Maybe this will help someone else who’s having problems…thanks for your note, Bob. At least I know my tables are good to go!
