Microsoft buying Yahoo [link] could be interesting.
If Microsoft have the money, and Yahoo have the audience, I can think of someone who would like to supply them with world-class infrastructure http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/deepcomputing/bluegene/ and world-class scientists http://domino.research.ibm.com/odis/odis.nsf/pages/index.html to improve the search algorithms.
OS/2 and SmartSuite ? Last century’s business.
