Although I’ve been back in NY for just a few days, I’m going to London again tomorrow evening so I can give a talk called “Implementing Web Services” at the XML & Web Services conference. I will be in London for a day and a half, then about 18 hours in France, and then home late on Friday. Next Sunday I go to San Francisco for a day to give the opening keynote at the WebSphere Technical Exchange.
The “Implementing Web Services” talk is not actually about the individual steps you take to build a web service. Rather, it is an overview of our strategy and plans in the Web Services and SOA area, and will relate customer requirements, standards, open source, products, education, and consulting. So it is about implementation, but along the lines of how and what you should think about, at least from an IBM perspective. This talk is actually done; the SF one is going to require more work (but, hey, I’ve got a week!).
