Online presentation software

About once a month someone touches on the idea of online presentations. The release of Google‘s online spreadsheet prompted Rafe Needleman of CNet to take a look at the presentation category in his blog entry “Presenting: Online slideshow software.” The ones he describes from Zoho, Structured Data, and ThinkFree take a different approach from what we have talked about here, which is basically HTML or XML in a browser. We have a ways to go, but it’s good to see people are actively working on the problem. Rafe also raises the online vs. offline issue.
